Julie Roth's Journey
Long before she was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer, Julie had devoted herself to learning everything she could about health and wellness.
Following years of living with chronic arthritis, she immersed herself in the study of conventional medicine, nutrition, functional medicine, and complementary therapies. She traveled across the country to attend conferences, learn from leading physicians, and explore emerging approaches to healing.
Her passion eventually led her to establish Roth Medical Research, LLC, where she continued expanding her knowledge—not only for herself, but for everyone around her. Julie generously shared what she learned, believing that information had the power to change lives.
When she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Julie chose to pursue an integrative approach to her treatment, combining the best of conventional medicine with carefully selected complementary therapies.
Meeting Dr. Marcela Dominguez
Julie and Dr. Dominguez were both completing the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine sponsored fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapy. Julie was there to save her life, and Dr. Dominguez was there to help save lives.
Julie hired Dr. Mark Rosenberg, the fellowship director practicing in Florida, as her personal physician. Recognizing that both Julie and Dr. Dominguez lived in Southern California, he connected them and Dr. Dominguez became Julie's personal primary care and integrative oncology physician.
What began as a doctor-patient relationship soon developed into a remarkable partnership built on trust, compassion, and a shared commitment to helping others heal.
Throughout Julie's treatment, Dr. Dominguez was continually inspired by Julie's curiosity, optimism, and unwavering determination to explore every possible path toward wellness.
That wish became the Dominguez-Roth Foundation
Carrying the Vision Forward
Today, Dr. Marcela Dominguez serves as Executive Director of the Foundation, continuing the work she and Julie envisioned together.
Together with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, and community partners, the Foundation remains committed to helping people discover new possibilities for healing through compassionate, evidence-based integrative medicine.
Julie believed that knowledge should be shared, hope should be accessible, and healing should be available to everyone.
That vision continues to guide the Foundation every day.
